Why did you choose your derby name?

I chose Goreticia Addams because I grew up watching The Addams Family TV show and movies with my mom, who made me a fan of all things spooky and kooky. She even had a cat named Lurch—and now I have one named Wednesday—so staying on theme just felt right! I swapped “Mor” for “Gore” to add a fun derby edge.

What does your derby number stand for?

I chose 05 because the p-value .05 is the commonly accepted threshold for statistical significance. As a data analyst, it’s the value I look for when deciding whether a relationship between two variables is meaningful or just random chance.

What makes CCRD great?

The people. CCRD is full of passionate, dedicated skaters who lift each other up. I’m especially grateful for the chance to practice alongside so many high-level players who are eager to share their knowledge and help everyone grow.
